image in signature

hi lads

how the 'ell do i get an image from my web site and place it on a forum message being tryin work on other sites but not this one..

wen it comes up the [img tag shows and parts of it are missing or in the wrong place

plz help
this is how it appears on a forum:

your brackets aren't complete. Try [*img* and [*/img* , without the asterisks.
