s/he who possesses homeworld, can you pueese tell me? then i can ask you guys questions cuz the campaign is getting quite annoyting.. i just had to take out 3 motherships and somehow survived quite well...

presently, my world is upside down, so if u do not mind, u'll have to tok to my a$$

time to put an end the floating blue bastards[![!

my POV.. just collect all resources before jumping ..might take time .. capture as many ships as you can... dont waste resources building your fleet.. use them when they start attacking you only...

i learnt that 2 years ago.. still got busted back then.. i'm managing now.. some 4000 bucks left over after i blew 6000 on fighters trying to get thru the damn ghost ship...6000 can you believe that..i can't. actually. maybe 3000. i built a destroyer and a carrier..


This is currently registered with the FAA as a glider, and according to FAA records, it has no engine - which is technically true, if you ignore that large rocket in back.

lure those ghost ship to your advantage attack and retreat.. thats what i did and manage to take em out.. actually i captured them..

actually, i tried to capture the missile destoryer.. it just kept shooting missiles at its sides to blow my salvage team... i'm gonna play again and gonna screw the destroyer first.

I DID capture that missile destroyer and use it on my advantage but it is very hard.. you have to get your salvage crews at the back standing by while tose assault frigates retreat drwaing fire.. dont worry assault frigates will not die easily being shot by missiles.. but the hardest part is getting the corvettes to close and capture.. coz that damn ship retreats as soon as you close in....

I managed to capture almost all ships that were near the ghost ship. I used a bunch of bombers (larger ships get captured by the ghost ship) and a hit-and run tactics concentrating fire on the ghost ship and ignoring the others.
Hope we're talking about the same mission - the one where you have to deal with a ship that the Bentusi were afraid of. I needed no salvage teams there - as soon as you disable the ghost ship, the other ships automatically come under your control.

i captured all the ships, all you do is have 30 scouts fly around attacking in evasive, small formations, and then you have attack bombers attack the ghost ship in claw neutral, not a hard mission all in all and you get a missile destroyer in the process

thanks loads... i'm gonna try that one. . . the next mission's a nightmare.. radiation from 250 light years?? pwease. and these sparks come outta my resource controllers.. freakky.. but the enemy don't seem to be effected. the mine layers are wicked man.. any way, i'll try your hit-run tactic GLE.. thanks for mentioning it..

Just stay in the asteroid fields (or whatever they are - the "sleeves" of dust), and you're protected from the radiation. I didn't do much resource collecting in that mission - too much risk for the mining ships. Maybe a bit after having destroyed all the enemies, because you have to control your mining ships so they don't leave the dust fields.
If you think this is tough, wait till the last mission - got to replay it four times till I found the right strategy.

dude.. i have this tendency to .. reduce me losses as much as possible. say.. if i was gonna go after a minelayer.. i'd go frontal with my 12 scouts.. and blow that up.. quickly hit the dock button, hoping they'd get back soon enough before getting blasted by the mines. i like it when i lose just 3 scouts do a minelayer. that's kinda economical you know. 220 for a layer, 35x3=105. i'm getting double profit outta that.

another question: why am i only allowed one support frigate?? when i tried to build more, it just said i had gone over my limit. any ideas?

another question: what do you think is the best for anti-minelayer-ing?
for me until now its the scout, with their high speed and manuverability, and they can take out one of them in a single run with 15 in thier wing.
