Happy Birthday To Me

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

What's the Legal Drinking age in the Netherlands?

Post Tue Apr 08, 2003 11:34 am

16. Amazing, eh?

Post Tue Apr 08, 2003 11:45 am

Really

Over here it's 18, but I've been legal for 5 years, since I'm 23 in June

Or 18, that depends on the promillage (sp?) of the drink.

Oops... Happy belated birthday

Drinking age is 16? Wow, I have to wait till I'm 21 for it to be legal.
On the other hand, people can start driving lessons as early as 15 around here.

Now remember[[! First you pillage and THEN you burn[[!

15 ? I though you had to be 16 in the US !?

Anyway, I too live in the Netherlands and it´s great to just go into a bar and order a beer when you´re 16. Some discotheques do require you to be 21+, but my experience is that they really don´t pay much attention to it, as long as they make money, nobody is complaining. I was already drinking beer in bars when I had the age of 14 (I´m now 23) and nobody cared I was only 14.

Looks like we have a bunch of alcohol-lovers here. And I thought I was the only one. Chears, guys!
In my country, they usually want you to be 21+ to buy alcohol and cigarettes, though in many places they just don't care.

In the UK, you're allowed to drink at the age of 5, if and only if, you're in your Home and have your Parents consent

Drink at the age of 5 ? We were talking about booze TG, not soft drinks and chocolatemilk

Heh he, a feeding bottle filled with hard liquor...
