Battlefield 1942

Does anyone else play this game? It was one of my favorites until Freelancer came out. (It still is, but I hardly ever play it anymore.)
If you do play it, what do you think of the Desert Combat mod?

Yes I play the Desert Combat Mod from time to time.
New version just got released a few days ago.
Its still pretty cool.
Almost never play the orginal game anymore, DC is cooler

i'm buying BF 1942 as soon as i can get the money. I played the demo 3 hours straight and fell in love, hope its all good

BF 1942 is best played with friends I usually packed up my friends and lest go 1942.. so we play coop and have fun.. i really feel exhilirated when me and my team pushed up the AI untill they are left with one base only while myfriend at the ground make sieges i bombard them using planes.. ahh and i got the highest kill even using those planes.. i luv it..

Good game but far to CPU intensive for what it does.

true but that can be reduced.. minimize number of players.. cpu time given to AI and cpu skill...
