Battlecruiser games?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Battlecruiser games?

Does anybody here have any of them? I've been interested in these for a long time, but I know nothing about them. Only the latest 2 in the series support WinXP, and only one of these 2 is out yet, and it has no demo. Can anybody tell me more about it?

Well, if you want to buy one, buy the recently released BattleCruiser Millenium Gold it has mutliplayer, its basically a super indepth type game, you can control a large spaceship, you carry fighters in it and hire staff, equip it with weapons, you can land on any planet and build bases on it, you can fly first or third person, and if you fly a dropship, you can eject onto a planet surface or even just to space, and you have a jetpack and its like a FPS you can shoot with like snipers, machine guns and stuff, its very very deep, and the sense of scale is amazing, you fly by a huge base and your huge looking ship is actually sort of like a soda can compared to a water tower, and you think thats it, then you get close and realize theres marines standing on the station........... Theres multiplayer for it, and a single player that has a long, and sadly, boring campaign, which also has freeform style play like freelancer, theres only one big difference, your main cap ship can land on planets and build bases, you can toss out a tank or buggy, just jump out on foot, just into the buggy and drive along the WHOLE planet, this makes it you can control a large force and have huge planetary wars, its just too deep to explain, your main ship can fly along the planet surface and fire, you can order fighters in from space to makes strikes, theres many ranks, vehicles, and weapons, including ships, lots of different types of ai controlled infantry and tanks, plus building units and buildings, just check it out, its a awesome game, it has a big learning curve (2-3 hours) but with the gold edition its shortened severely (roughly half hour), in other words, its a sleeper thats just a awesome game, very deep and detailed, go check out some screenshots, the graphics are impressive but its more for the hardcore types then for average gamers, if you buy it, let me know, i would probabl be the only other person playing multiplayer anyway

PS: I found a demo you can try the game, heres a link

I agree. It's sort of like USS Ticonderoga, if anyone ever played that. Slow, boring, and complicated.
