I need help...urgently

Hi ,
I need help with my explorer. I spoke to a lot of people but nobody could help me. You are my last chance.
Whenever I click a link-say like that one kopikari has published in the spoiler forum before- I am unable to open it... I click the link... the new page/browser opens but nothing happens
It happens to all of the links I visit on the net and its very important to fix this problem 'cause I can't connect to my bank (I've got a lot of money hehehe, that money to pay half of the bills?!?!?)

I talked to a lot of people at the online helpdesk of the bank, with friends etc...etc... but nobody could help.
here are the settings:
activeX enabled
java scripts enabled
Internet tools security set to minimal
Internet tools advanced is set to all allowable settings

I removed the explorer and set to 5.50 but the same goes on after reloading IE6SP1... the same...

I wrote to microsoft but didn't have any response yet
I am sick of it and don't want to format the box so,
If anyone have an idea what could happened pls let me know...

um . . . its a 'freelancer spoiler' forum ur posting this in, i dun think this has anything to do with freelancer or spoilers or both for that matter, but i think its something wrong with your browser settings if u ask me, go to tools>internet options>security and click on the medium or lowest. . . i don't know, but its a hope...

presently, my world is upside down, so if u do not mind, u'll have to tok to my a$$

In advnace for now you could just go to Kinko's and use their internet, but if you call your Internet Service Provider, they'll give you any help you need. Completely

Havn't you ever wanted to just TURN off that darned automated computer on your ship saying "Warning, Entering Atmosphere?" I mean cmon, I KNOW Im entering the Atmosphere. Thats the point isnt it?

To the one having problems with Windows - reinstall whatever version of Windows you are using - that usually fixes problems like you are having.

reinstall windows every 3 months.
reformat the whole hardisk before you do that..

as a matter of fact, reinstall windows before you install freelancer.

Then again, this guy can post but he said he has problem with his explorer?..

makes me wonder....

You're kidding right? I've run a windows install for 3 years without an issue, if you need to re-install every 3 months then you're doing something very wrong.

@Dispatcher, when you say that nothing happens when the new page opens, do you mean that the page will just hang or does it give you an unable to contact message. Is it a particular type of webpage you are having problems with ie something using FLASH or Java scripting? Have you ever run any pop-up blocking programs?



I don't really run this place but I have an understanding with the people who do.
