any one remember starflight?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I guess I'm showing my age here. I have to say the all time most enjoyable game I ever played was a game relesed in the 80's by EA called Starflight. I played it on my old Tandy 1000 286zx and it took me months to beat. I have been waiting for a game like that sence then and I guess Freelancer came close. It does need a little more work. But I can't complain too mutch about that becaues I knew before I started playing Freelancer that It was produced my Microsoft and by defult that means the first version wouldn't be compleate, would be buggy, and need a patch quick. but all in all, Freelancer is a good game.

There is a group of fans making Starflight III. www.starflight3.com

Yes, I loved Starflight, I read a preview article about it in a mag and couldn't wait for it to be released. I had to work like a dog all summer so I could get Starflight for my Birthday.

You had a better PC than I had. Remember the old Compaq "Luggable"? It was the worlds first porable PC. It's a suitcase sized thing. That's what I had to play SF on... Amber Monochrome screen about 9 inches diag in size and TWO 5.25" drives. HDs were not standard equipment in them days.

I actually still have Starflight and Starflight 2....

Just can't get them to run on WinXP.....lol

Some of my favourites...However...I lost my code wheel for Starflight...and have been unable to play it for a really long time.

disable your cache in your computer. that should slow it down enough to play it with xp. if you go to the site that crash posted above, there are links on that site that will take you to a page where you can download a code wheel.

This game predates my PC gaming days. I was playing Atari 2600 in those days.

I came. I saw. I conquered. And sometimes get conquered.
