FL and EVE online

FL and EVE online

EVE online seems to have all the features that everyone thinks Frellancer was lacking in. From what I've seen, I'm impressed. What do you guys think of EVE's prospects?

I saw a friend who is a beta tester play it. Granted, he's on a modem, but there was horrible lag. I'm talking about 20 second delays.

Other than that, it looked good. It seemed to be somewhat of a "point and click" travel system instead of actual piloting, but I didn't see that much of the game. If they remove the lag, and they must do that before release or they will release a stiff, it can be interesting.

Discussing other games is permitted, advertising them and saying, in a sense, that XYZ games is better than ZYX games, isn't. click

Eve and FL are completely seperate. I personally don't want to get EVE... A friend who is in the beta said the developers and GM guys play favorites with corporations, and his testing experience has been horrible (he hasn't been able to play well enough to give decent feedback)... Doesn't seem very professional
