The EvoChron community welcomes TLR

I think I speak on behalf of the entire SW3D community as I welcome you into the universe of EvoChron: Alliance.

I could write a little recommendation for the game here, but I won't. If you're interested what this game has to offer, I'd say: check out the website @ www.evochron.com.

We'll try to establish announcements for multiplayer games as well. If you've got any problems connecting, try forwarding the DirectPlay ports on your router - usually helps. There is a 24/7 server available and you're free to host multiplayer games. With hosting, watch that you enter your EXTERNAL IP adress when hosting. Games hosted on LAN IP's will not be available online.

If you've got any questions concerning the game, feel free to ask them here or for technical problems on the SW3D forums.

ive played starwraith IV for some time and now (due to the fact that i had to update LR ) had a look at evochron

and there is something that disturbs me a little bit
there is not really much information about the game itself available and also not much about the people behind that game

usually space sims come of with detailed descriptions of the game... screenshots... wallpapers... guides... a fixed multiplayer support and more

well maybe there is a place to look at those things but i dont find it

Actually, that could be found on the website @ www.evochron.com. Also, there is a free one-hour demo available for you to get a basic idea of the game.

Feature lists, screenshots and information are available at the forum/website.

Finally, you might want to check out this:
http://home.wanadoo.nl/ebrahimismail/SW3D/evoatips.htm

It's a fanmade site which gives tips for the game, so you can get a glimpse of early-game gameplay there.

Information on the creators is simple: It's a one-man project with freelance help from others. Vice, as he's nicknamed on the forums, programs the entire game himself and, I must say, he's pretty darn good at it.

Hi,

oh my first post here, Feel a bit strange as the starwraith forum is pretty much the only one I've ever been a member of.

you may find that the evo website (www.evochron.com) is a bit sparse of info, but it's for a reason, learn too much and you miss out on some of the fun involved in the game.

Screenshots? we have shedloads of them on the sw3d forum (check out the screenshots post there (i'll move some of my best over here too)

Fixed MP support?
it's pretty easy to join a mp game and most users don't have any issues. Hosting sometimes causes more issues, But the FAQ covers most issues and Rami, myself or another SW3D'er are usually around to help.

I've been running a 24/7 dedicated server for a while now and you're likley to be able to connect to it without issues. Generally we are pretty friendly (showing new places, hints , secrets etc. Though if you want to test your fighting skills just ask (or join another Clan HeHe).
