Freedom, interesting word. Lets put it this way, you can do more than a little but not too much.

Yes it will be better than Freelancer and not just in terms of graphics...

imho graphics are gravy, it's the gameplay that really counts. but if the gfx look anything like the shots you've shown us then it seems we'll all be having a crackin' time soon!

How will it compare to X3?

How will it compare? Well hopefully it won't have poorly-implemented and designed controls and use invasive copy protection methods .

@cuppa: Hardly the rapid reaction squad here but I think your question is a valid one. Will the box that the game is packaged in be laminated like the one I got with X3? It truly is great for putting a hot cup of tea on to avoid damaging my p.c. desk while playing other games.

@Esqui: I believe you are well aware of how much I agree with you on this one...X3 times worse than anything else I have touched in years.

Of course, with the greatest of respect, if chupa has mastered the X3 flight controls well enough to go and play the thing then I will doff my hat in admiration or bewilderment, whichever, and admit my personal failure as a space sim gamer.*Sods off to play F.E.A.R.*

I gave up on EgoSoft after X2. In fact, I returned the game within four hours of purchasing it and was so disgusted at the control scheme that I didn't even *think* about making a copy! I'd give X3 a go, but SF... not a fan.
