verry odd crash

This is odd. Freelancer crashes as soon as i press the new game button or try to load a game. I tride scaning it with FLscan, but it came out with no errors. this might have somthing to do with a error mesage i get whe i start the game, it says that it dosn't recognize my vedio card, but i already played the game befor so this might just be a glich.

Try this.

Delete or move any previous saved games... move the saved games to a new folder or just delete all the files in your saved games folders.
Saved games are located in:
C:\Documents and Settings\your name\My Documents\My Games\Freelancer\Accts
Both your Singleplayer and Multiplayer folder are in the Accts folder.

Don't just un-install and re-install Freelancer.
Delete your Freelancer folder, don't worry this will not cause any problems.
By default your Freelancer game files will be installed and can be located at
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer

Install the QuickFix version 1.0c
You can download the Freelancer QuickFix-v1.0c here

Didn't work. Oh well...

Just do this to make sure:
Compeletely uninstall Freelancer including saved games folders.
Then reinstall Freelancer and start up a new game without any other patches or "fixes" .
If you try to start a new game on a fresh new install and it still crashes, I suspect you may have a compatablilty problem with your video card.

There is no need for that. I just went on a random serch for bugs in the game, and when i opened my preferoptins.ini (or somthing like that) file, it turned out that i accidentally added a letter to a line. So i deleted that letter and gess what? The game works!

I gess this is just another example of how litle tiny things can lead to extreamly complecated problems.
