if your machine is sound....then why bother getting a new one?

No sense in spending a lot of cash on a new machine when the one you
have is working fine.

Memory 4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz- 4DIMMs
and your graphics
Video Cards 128MB ATI Radeon X1300 i added this

Your operating system is only seeing 3.872GB cus of the graphics card you added, XP only supports upto 4GB of RAM IN TOTAL! that includes your graphics card unless your running a 64bit version of windows, it may not be seeing a whole stick of RAM or some of it...... >.<

its a good machine my old computer but the lag factor sometimes theres too much lag

Post Wed Oct 24, 2007 10:17 pm

The lag can be due to your antivirus running while you're playing FL - I've noticed that excess choppiness can be cured by temporarily setting the antivirus off. In addition, it is good practice to defragment your hard drive. I have been recommended O&O Defrag and have used it - it works quite well and is faster than Microsoft's defragmenter.

Another reason for lag is out of your control; it's your ISP, and sometimes their connection may just bog down for whatever reason and there's little you can do about it (well, aside from binning your computer in frustration ).
