mods for single player campaign

I've been away playing VegaStrike for the last couple of weeks but missed FL, so I played the single player plot through again (16 hours - but I didn't run for the wrecks). Are there any mods to add a single player mission / campaign? (I don't have anything against multi-player, it's just that I'm not on broad band atm).

TIA

The closest to adding missions, is Hostile Universe. It has a mystery that you have to solve to find new systems.

cool, I'll check it out. Though I haven't got broadband and dl'ing large mods is a bit of a pain, I do have an internet cafe local so I can get stuff at a push.

And please let me know if there are any other mods for single player TIA.

I've installed the FLMM mod manager and Hostile Universe 8.1 - I would have been even quicker to pick up on this if I had known it was by Giskard - a name that I know well from X2 and X3. Giskard, IMHO, has written the best guide to combat in X3 - "The Right Role".

Anyway, as I like to concentrate on one thing at a time, I want to finish off playing up to level 38 in the standard game and check out the 2 (?) unknown sectors before playing HU. I have checked that I can "activate" the Hostile Universe Mod in FLMM, but just wanted to know if I need to run the "No Story" mod at the same time. It sounds reasonable but I don't know if running HU is sufficient in itself. Any advice will be appreciated!

You don't need open sp, if I remeber right, but it has been a while since I played it. There is a readme type file with the mod as well.
