Just leave the Nomads and concentrate your fire purley on the shield generators!
Thats what i did

That is what I did also. The nomads did not do that much damage. I also found that guns seem to work better than missles or torps.

Remember evasive maneuvers. Fly by the generators in runs. As in, fly toward them with guns firing constrantly, firing out missiles/torps at the same time (so you get the effect of guns and also the torps), then as you go by it, hit your afterburners and all, still flying away from it for a few seconds evading shots.

Then turn around quickly, like by hitting reverse thrust as you turn around, then as you face it, immediately think evasive again and let your weapons rip.

By evasive, I mean you can use your breaks/afterburners/strafing to be a more difficult target for the nomads to hit, even while you're firing on your target. But you probably know how to do that anyway if you've gotten that far into the game.

I just cruise toward the satellites until I am in range, then proceed directly forward, firing all weapons. I then tightly twine around, ramming it or remaining in proximity, thus giving me cover from nomad fire. Additionally, the majority of nomad misses actually damage the satellite, thus inadvertently aiding you in your task.

thx for the info guys i actually got lucky with a couple of hits and destroyed them while i was taking out the fighters, incedently i did avoid them the first couple of times i did it but no matter how many times i tried to avoid them the entire place would come after me so i realy couldnt get past the first generator but now the way i passed it was by killing the entire first wave of nomads then taking out the first one then taking out the second wave then taking out the second 1 and so on i didnt get hit once and thx for the info about the afterburn strafing and revers thrust i was doing all that it was just there were to man of them if i didnt kill of the first wave thx guys now i can finally make some good money any good trade routes i should know about lol well im gonna try multiplayer so if any of u know a good unmoded server i would like to join one i dont own the game i play through yahoo

Play through Yahoo? How does one do that?

i play through yaho games on demand i can play like 30 games as much as i want for like 15 bucks they are streamed to my pc
