Asterix in Nav-Map

Hi All.
I just pickup FL this week looking for a replacement for my all-time favorite game - Independance War 2. If your looking for a game similar to Freelancer I recommend you give Independance War 2 a go. Anyhow....

I've been playing for a few nights now and scouring this forum and others (A search function would be useful) for a while now trying to find out why some of the planets and bases in my Nav-Map have asterixes infront of their name.

Does anyone kow?

Well, some systems are so much crowded, that in the NavMap some of the names of stations/planets/gates/etc. must be hidden behind some other name. If you see an asterisk next to some name, it means that there is something hidden behind it. Zoom in (click on the map and click zoom in button) to see whats there.

Thanks for that. I was sure it was something simple but it was driving me crazy trying to work it out..Now I feel like an idiot for not seeing it.

That answer cleared up a lot for me. I thought that it was uninhabited planets or something, but now that i think of it it makes sense. Thanks!
