Hello there Daididan, unfortunately, whislt this is the correct forum to be saying a big ol 'hello' to everyone, its not the correct forum to be posting questions in regards to Freelancer - that would be the Freelancer Discussion for new players....or the spoilers forum (for SP Gameplay and other such stuff).

I will move the thread when I think you have seen it, and enjoy the site

Well Im little new at the game, right now Im level 21 at the server I play, but I've never tried a turret, are they good? What is the thing with the turrets that make them so good?
And another question,Im level 21 as I said, but I got the Crusader ship,is there any better, for a good price?I've looked at your "Pilotable ships" list but,I dont know wich one of them to take
The barracuda
The Dragon
The Stilette
Or the hammerhead?
They ar all heavy, but I dunno if they ar faster at the turns,Dragon and stilette looks like they ar fast, but dunno..

The only differens between Dragon and Stilette is that stilette has 4900 armor while Dragon has 3600,well and the Power-Energi or something..

Is it worth the money to take the Stilette?
Just asking because Im little newbie to get up the cash again hehe

Turrets can be useful, you don't really need them unless the ship can fire them when you are facing forward.
About the ships, get a freighter like a Dromedary from Mactan base or a Humpback from Rhienland to make money. Then get a real ship, like a titan. (eagle might work too )

Actually, turrets are good. While heading away from an enemy, look backward and fire on them, while still heading away. Easyer than a straight head up fight sometimes.

To DaDDlarN;
If your trying to chose between the Dragon and the Stilleto I would have to recomend the Dragon for two reasons:
1) The Dragon is easier to get (for me at least, because the Kusari military sells it and you have to be freindly with the Hessians, basically, to buy the Stilleto)
2) The Dragon is a rounded craft and more nimble than the Silleto with a faster turn rate(don't think I am an anti borderworld ship person as I LOVE my Saber)
That's my opinion.

By the way, never fire torpedos in random directions because if it hits a shipyard you'll be in deep trouble.

Naabal thanks for your advice, but I looked little more at this site, and discovered a ship with the name "Falcon",it looked nice, and had cool stuff too so I took that one instead. It was easier than I thought to raise levels with a new ship, from 24 to 31 just in a 90 minutes or something..

But may I ask another question?I've cruised around in the whole Freelancer world, the places I've never been, from Honshu to Fraknfurt and the Sigma-13,from there to Omega places, just to look..
But I haven't found a real hard mission, who gives some real heavy bount of money =) Because I'm in a group of 2 men,me and my brother,so we need som missions who give more payed than the normal. The highest payoff I've found was a 84K mission, and that was way too easy =)

And by the way,do you like my english? As I said I'm swede, and this isn't an english site is it?I thought it was another,I dunno why, just a feeling =)

Go to freeport nine in omicron theta, they usually have some high end missions, if your a pirate either got to malta in omicron alpha if your an outcast or crete in omicron gamma if your a corsair.

Hey DaDDlarN,
If you want a mission that pays alot of money I would recomend the outcasts at Malta in Omnicron Alpha. If you want to know how to get there you can go to the search function and type in "roadmap" then download "Freelancer Roadmap v2" That thould get you there.

You know you are having a bad day when 11 Red Hessian run Rheiland battleships are chasing you through a dark antimatter cloud. (speaking from personal experience!)

ohh that hurts

Okayy Naabal,I'v leveled up a bit,now I'm 35,so I thought why not a new ship again,this is for a 24th =)
So I look little (again) at the Pilotable ships at the site, and found the sabre! But unfortanly (spelling?) only the outcasts sells it,and Im so enemy you can get with the outcast you bet!And _all_ there allies! What I'm gonna do?It isnt so nessesary to take the ship, but I wanted just to try =) I mean, over 1,400,000 $ means new ship right ?
But _IF_ i'll get neutral with the outcasts, what would the damn cops say?Im so friendly you can get with them, and I just can't do without them..!

So,if the cops dont get mad, after buying the ship I can start doing missions for them and kick the ass of the Corsairs,or else the cops will kick my butt =)

(Well you are americans right?Just tried to "sound" like one )

Ok DaDDlarN the awnser to your problem is: do everything carefully.
I am allied with the Outcasts and most police factions, not Kusari, try getting bribes at a junkers bases, if you cann't get an outcast bribe get a liberty rouge bribe or somthing (one of their allies). keep trying to get bribes until you can fly to an outcast base and get a job. Then you should be able to get to malta and but a Saber.
It is entirly possible that the police will become hostile during the process but after you get the Saber you should be able to get on there good side by contiually killing Corsairs or somthing.

If you want to do this fast get the freindly universe mod. (I think it comes with mod manager) Whenever you kill nomads people start to like you, ALOT. then you can kill who you please.

yah I'm american, nice english too

Naabal,I just play multiplayer,so the mod isnt going to work ..
But I've done as you said (well, almost,I've tried!)
I looked after som people who I could bribe so my reputation with the Outcasts got better, and I have a "plan" if the cops would hate me!I just kill some Xenos and Corsairs and they'll like me again!Because the xenos/corsairs are outcasts enemies so it'll be good for the both parts, the outcast reputation, and the cops reputation..

BUT - I haven't found any bribes about the Outcasts yet!I've looked from Omega-5 to the Frankfurt and didnt find anything =)Every single base/planet!

So you guys know some places?

Try Freeport 10 in Tau-37 or the Junkers base in Texas. And don't worry about the police going hostile, I bribed the outcasts once and the police just became neutral and were still very close to being friendly.
