"life's a *****, and then u die"

That "forgot my password" script hasn't worked for some time...
A new version of the Forums software should be ready soon, I hope.
The newer version should have a lot more functions and make it better for everyone.
In the meantime if anyone forgets their password they can email Eraser or bakedpotato to get their password.
Don't forget that a valid email address is necessary for us to send you your password and user name.
Send an email to

and or

Anybody in here? I'm REALLY new to this forum thing. In fact, when it comes to the internet, I'm a total dunce (yet my parents still expect me to fix the computer when they break it). How do I make my profile? Do we need to have an avatar or anything? Is there a book entitled, "Forums for Dummies" by any chance?

Post Tue Nov 23, 2004 11:37 am

OK, for your profile:
sheck the top off your screen...below the lancers logo you'll see a series off hyperlinks, there you'll see a ling "your profile" there you can change your profile please just note that you are not allowed to change your nickname and you have to have a valid email adress.
Other than that...make sure you read and understood the forum rules and regs.
Hmm anything else you want to know?
welcome to TLR... you can never leave again.
cardamine and soda is in the fridge and never capatalise sw

Gryphondelta215 Welcome to TLR
At this time, we don't use avatars, however, that amy change with the next version of this forum. As to a book on forum? they very a lot fromforum type to type. It's more a "look around" type thing to learn. You'll get the hang of it soon.

Post Sat Nov 27, 2004 11:23 pm

Post Sun Nov 28, 2004 5:41 am

welcome gryphondelta215. i'm fairly new here too and not the sharpest with tech stuff. if like me FL is in your blood you'll find it warm n' cosy here quick smart. the natives are hospitible if you take time to learn their customs. read rules and regs, also check out the "offence" thread sw has goin' in th off topic forum to see what annoys.

also, don't capitalise sw, but if you can capitalise on sw it might be cool, provided you get permission and share the proceeds of course.

I have some info on a "fighting style" that I adapted to freelancer (it almost never fails either) that I want to display. Where do I go to post it?

Also, could someone do me a HUGE favor and send an e-mail to:

[email protected]

and then send an e-mail saying that you sent an e-mail to the above address to:

[email protected]

See' I just made the hotmail account and I've gotten no mail of any kind, excluding msn stuff and I just want to make sure that my new account actually works. So if someone could do the above thing than I'd be most grateful.

Me again. This is gonna sound sooo stupid, but I looked around the multiplayer forum and I didn't find what I was looking for. I have two questions (what's with me and the number 2).

I have the WTS world 2.4 mod running on my game and I don't know which servers are compatible with that mod cept 1, Eagle station(i'm registered in their forum). What do I do to get on the server itself.

Second thing is that I have a 56k dialup modem, which isn't very multiplayer friendly as it is. Furthermore it thinks it's a 28.8. Is it even possible to do multiplayer with dialup alone? Also, is there a way to make it stop acting like a 28.8 and get it up to speed? I have windows XP (proffessional if it makes any difference). Someone help me.

Dial up usually is had to handle in MP. IF you have less than a 45k connection, I would not even try. It would lag something teraible for you.

Just wondering but when you say play Multiplayer games alone...
Do you mean can you play Mutliplayer on your computer by yourself...
If that's your question then the answer is yes you can but I do believe that you need a network card or integrated on the motherboard in your computer for this to work.
All my comps have network cards installed so the reason I believe that you need it is Finalday tried to run flserver.exe but could not because he didn't have a network card installed...

Start flserver.exe which comes on the Freelancer disk and installs when you install Freelancer...you may have noticed that when you installed Freelancer.
The Freelancer Mod Manager can start Flserver.exe for you or make a shortcut to Flserver.exe on your desktop and start it from there before you start the game.

The default location for flserver.exe is:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE
in other words it is in the exe folder a sub folder of the Freelancer directory (folder)

Thank all of you for this site. It is awesome.
Got a question - hope this is the correct place to post it.
A friend of mine downloaded a cool mod for me.
Has Earth Force Alliance and the Earth system in it. I started off friendly with them - then unexplicably they turned hostile. I did not do any missions against them or their allies, did not accidently discharge weapons etc. Now have been playing and managed to get friendly with absolutley everyone else, but Earth Force Alliance is still hostile with me. For a while I managed to get hostile with every single criminal organization and friendly with all police - but that had no change on the hostility of the EAF. Any ideas on how to get back in the green?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. It is greatly appreciated.
