Freelancer Explorer crashes

When I load an flmm mod in Freelancer Explorer, it crashes! Even when the mod folder only contains FLE's edited systems. Help?

re-install FLE?

Wish that worked. Tried it.

Most of the FLMM mods only contain scripts for certain things (like speed or Battleships). They are not complete mods. This is probably why it isn't loading for you in Freelancer Explorer. Those are meant to be add-ons for already loaded mods.

I think he means an FLMM mod with a system in it.

Try activating the mod using FLMM, but use FL Explorer to open it from the regular Freelancer Directory (Program Files/Microsoft Games/Freelancer) instead of the FLMM/Mods/ folder. Chances are it'll work then (as long as your system isn't all buggered up).

Won't that make the mod not deactivate though? And I'll lose my changes?

EDIT: I tried that too. No dice.

The mod will deactivate fine.

Your changes won't be saved automatically, so when you're done you'll have to copy the INI files of the systems you edited, as well as any DLL's FLEX has created.
