Is it possible to become member of any faction in the SP, like Liberty Navy or Corssair? I m trying to find some text about it but nothing so far. Maybe you could help me please.

You can be anything you wish in Freelancer just kill the right ones and bribe the right ones. Then it is up to you to role-play the rest.
