Newbie needs help here

Hulo. I'm a real newbie in the editing world and it just seems like i don'tknow where to find decent programs to do the moddeling or texturing...etc. So could anyone recommend some and there download URl please? Thanxs in addition anyways.

Most of the Freelancer model makers use MilkShape 3D, here's their website http://chumbalum.swissquake.ch/index.html

Check out their tutorials section while you're on the chUmbaLum sOft site.

Thanks for the reply there. Really did find it, although didn't know how to use it. That's why I'm posting this. Could someone out there help me with the joints part? It's hard enough to get me sitting and watching it without a shread of hope to know what it is supposed to do. Is it meant to be covered with something like texture... or its just plain joints. Thanks in addition.

I'd suggest GMAX for modelling and MilkShape for texturing and exporting. On your very first models use a block as a base. When you have created a block, just edit it (some experimenting would help).
