Making Thrusters unremovable

unremovable, not sure if thats a word. Any one have a idea about making Thrusters stick to the ship(not tradable). Iv made thrusters for each type of ship (light fighter, Heavy fighter, etc) and the problem is that you can just buy a light fighter and stick the thruster on a heavy fighter and go faster. Any ideas? Love the tuts here there so easy to follow. Thx

Remoev thruster mounts from the shiparch.ini, and just ensure that the goods.ini (ie ships loadout when bought) includes the thruster mounted on the thruster mount.

You can also remove the misc_goods.ini or st_goods.ini entries for the thrusters as well (whichever file they are in), and then remove the thrusters from sale at all bases, on equipment for all wrecks (loadouts.ini - search for secret i think it is) and finally from all loot drops from missions or just normal NPC's.

Thanks a lot but theres 1 problem very minor but the first ship i buy doesnt come with a thruster but if i buy that ship again it does. Any thoughts? havn't tried it out on many ships just on 2 so far.

It doesn't come with a thruster? It should - if it's the starting ship, then it's in the loadout.ini of the ships directory - you could add one there.

If you bought another, yes - it would come with one furnished on it.

Thank you very much, looks like i was just slopy in the coding found a few missing 0 and 1's not sure how it ended up getting a thruster, meh it works now thanks again.
