dynamic universe?

hi, my first post

after seeing the rather interesting java price/location-randomizer i wondered if it wouldn´t be possible to enhance such a program even further? since i left programming for good in the beginning of the 90s i can´t possible do it myself

my thought was since most of freelancers settings are stored in the various ini files that it should be possible to create some kind of launch program for freelancer which could change the universe and make it a tad more dynamic. e.g. displaying a small bulletion board like note what happend in the freelancer systems, changes the ini files accordingly and launches freelancer?

e.g. the small note about what happend in the freelancer universe could include a hint of "strong nomad activities lately" and then add the nomad-invasion mod to the current session. or some kind of news about tensions betweens certain factions and change the empathy ratings accordingly.

sorry about the bad english...

It all depends upon where the news gets submitted to.

Feel free to email it to myself, but if you do - ensure you provide information as you want it to be on the front page (not layout wise, but content wise). I cannot fill in the gaps - so ensure when you read it back people who have never heard of your mod/your project will understand exactly what you are talking about

Email is on the staff page.
