Black triangles in new system

Hey, there is some black triangles in my new system. It's a black triangle with a star in the middle of it, probably a bad texturing error by the developers.

How can I make those triangles disappear? It doesn't fit with my blue-ish system.

Thanks, gparent.

you can't. Most systems had black backgrounds and so the surrounding area of a star in the starsphere CMP file is black.

And I supose you can modify them and import them, or is that impossible with star spheres

I'm not sure, if you meant, what I think, but you will get loads of small black pyramids in the system, if you do not care about one thing:

At the beginning of the systemfile, you have these three lines (at least similar):

[Background
basic_stars = solar\starsphere\starsphere_stars_caps.cmp
complex_stars = solar\starsphere\starsphere_bw07_stars.cmp
nebulae = solar\starsphere\starsphere_bw07.cmp

Now, it is important that the last two of these lines are from the same system. As you see here, "complex_stars" and "nebulae" are from "bw07". If one of these would be from another system, you would get these small pyramids (or triangles).

So, just check, that these two lines are from the same system!

Hope this helps!

There is an another way to remove the black triangles.

For example:

[Background
basic_stars = solar\starsphere\starsphere_stars_basic.cmp
complex_stars = solar\starsphere\starsphere_hi01_stars.cmp
nebulae = solar\starsphere\starsphere_hi01.cmp

Just simply remove the 'basic_stars' and 'complex_stars' entry.

like this:

[Background
nebulae = solar\starsphere\starsphere_hi01.cmp

Of course there will be no stars (Like in the Tau-37 system) but no more black triangles.
