the path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and of the tryannys of evil men.blessed is he who, in the name of chariety and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brohers keeper and the finder of lost children. and i will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poisen and destroy my brothers. and you will know my name is the lord when i lay my vengeance upon thee

Why should anybody make such a difficult and looong job instead of just buying the Freelancer-CD, cheap as it is nowadays ? Got it ?

No, you wouldn't have the whole game. The SDK, etc., do NOT contain all of the files. Nor do any mods, even the more comprehensive ones like Free Worlds, which change practically everything.

And that is ALL I'm going to say about this topic.

Please refrain from exploring this subject on these Forums, k? I know you're probably not discussing this to further attempts to pirate the game, but that's how discussing this topic would be construed by MS/DA's staff. No modder worth their salt would even consider trying to put up a "mod" that included all of the files needed to run FL without buying it... and yes, those of us who're experienced know exactly what those files are... and no, we won't talk about it

For the record, I paid $50 for this game, when it was new. Considering how cool it has become, with all of the awesome mods available (not to mention the enjoyment I get out've making more for everybody)... the current price (see Amazon.com) is very cheap fun

Because of all the requests from retail stores, which buy the way are selling Freelancer for $20, Microsoft has just made a new batch of CD's which should be appearing in a store near you soon...

Holy cow...

Talk about modding making sales work... hope you're paying attention, MS/DA... if you won't make a sequel that's easy to mod, then you're just missing out on a big pile o' money...
