All the best with this - sounds different

To be fair with the tutorials, alot of old ones are badly written, some are written well enough -and some are excellent. The main problem I found was that people always want to run before they have even been born. Some areas require a general modding knowledge of FL before attempting - simply because they involve so many files, in such a complex mesh. In other words, they are difficult.

If you learn to play the guitar, you don't start out with learning the solo to G'n'R "Paradise City"!

a systematized explanation of how FL generally works would certainly help,starting with a grounds-up explanation of how the openflame & havok engines have been overlayed as we see in old nomad objects that have different exporter dates & entirely different formats than normal .cmps - and on tutorials *shameless plug *i certainly hope mine is clear enough because there are several things you can trip up on there, the most important being the difficult & tedious xml scripting for flmm which AluminumHaste n me are working on eliminating *end of shameless plug *

Always a shame when people start off so well and can't follow through...

Unless RL got in the way, can't get out of that can you hehe.

Yea, it started out good, but then one teacher just left, and then another and then one day everyone just stopped coming and most students were left in the dust.
