Exporting to .CMP - why do some custom ships crash MS3D?

Well, the Search function doesn't seem to be working, so I'll have to ask aloud. I've recently got a registered copy of Milkshape 3D V1.7.4 , and with the latest CMP Exporter v2.1 (The same problem happens with all of the versions, though), I've been trying to export ships to .CMP, obviously so's I can add into Freelancer.

Now, alot of the ships I've tried have just made Milkshape crash, and not exported. A big windows error comes up, the normal report-back-to-microsoft thing, that doesn't actually tell you why it's crashing. At first I thought it was the program, but then I popped into my mods folder and tried importing/exporting other ships, and exporting the example .ms3d ship that comes with the exporter - and they all work fine.

So, now I know that it's a problem with the ships, can anyone tell me why it would happen? Theres probably loads of things it could be...

L.D.

P.S. - They're not my ships, but I have permission to use them. I'm probably one of the worst modellers in this community

P.P.S. - And please, don't post about "It's all windows' and M$'s fault, use a different operating system. I've heard it all before...

there's a few reasons why it might not be working:

1> no textures assiged
2> could be a import/export plugin you have

there's might be other one's but thats all that i have come accross so far

Nevermind, It's working now, I've a feeling the textures weren't working as we wanted - or at all. Now that I've got one working, though...It's a -little- too small (meaning the guy who made the model zoomed -right- in to the grid, so now we have a ship smaller than a gunshot etc.). Is there any way you can enlarge/rescale the whole model, without having to start over?
