Custom Bases

Custom Bases

Just out of intrest is it possible to make custom bases with the CMP files and the right coding? Or would the source code be needed? I tryed to copy an example from FL with the solararch.ini and my own battleship (that i want people to land on battleship, not flyable battleship). The game CTD whenever i undock in the system.

Yes it is, I have already replaced every base in Freeworlds with custom bases.

The main hardpoints to remember to add in are:

HPDockMountA
HPDockPointA01
HPDockPointA02
HPDockCam
HPLaunchCam

Those five hardpoints will give you the basics for enabling an object to become dockable (for how to set them up, just study the pre-existing station in Freelancer for best placements under HardCMP). You can then go on from their to other hardpoints for weapons etc....
