Automatic Aiming for Guns for Player Ships

Please could someone tell me is there such a mod for guns? I only need to regarding guns on players ships. IE doin the work for you.

Is so please provide a link to it or explain what is need to be done in detail to achieve this? Cheers.

Or an Increase in the radius of the cross hairs therefore making you more accurate? Link or explaination in detail. Cheers

No, sorry. There is an "auto_turret" function, but that only work for NPCs. To make people's lives in freighters and capships easier, increase the turrets turn rate and the camera turn rate in the cockpit file. That greatly improves targeting smaller ships attacking you when you are in a big ship.

tried the search function and it drew a blank on the matter. Then read this forums threads for the last year and couldnt see a thread pertaining to this matter. Im sorri but I was at a loss therefore posted.

When you type in
Auto Guns,
Auto Weapons,
Automatic Guns,
Automatic Weapons,

Nothing shows up in the screen.
But if the search doesnt work, LOOK FOR IT.

You're kidding me right??? No results for auto turret...That's funny...In 2 minutes I just found 6 threads stating that auto_turret = true does not make automatic firing turrets...must be using different search functions....hmmmmm

Maybe you could exploit a little thing I have found. Maybe something is wrong with my game, but it has an extremely small auto-aim thing that I don't know how to trigger. If my cursor is just BARELY off the target (this happened on rocks) then it still hits most of the time. Even when not compensating for movement, this happened. Maybe someone can find that of use.........

That very small auto-aim thing is for me too, I guess It's just there to make shooting easier, so new guys can hit stuff when they start playing or something.

As for auto-aiming guns, I've done it before - although, differently. Just make the gun use ammo, and set it so It's like homing missiles (exept with the beam of your gun, and higher turn/speed rates). The only problem with this, is when someone shoots at you with it you get the 'Incoming Missile' warning, when there is actually no missile (good for wasting people's CM's )

Try it out sometime, I had great fun making and improving it

Liberator/LD - Yes FL has an aim-assist feature. Maybe you could exploit it, but if you did it would likely make all guns auto-aim.

Why would you want to do this?
Seems it would take all the fun out of the game.
