different model???????

ok, i've goten about 6-7 models into fl no probs but this is the first time i've seen this any where. when i land on manhatten with this ship it looks fine but as soon as i take off it's a differen't ship with flames comming out. now i've added a fuse to drop all loot but no to add effects like this.... would you guys know whats happening?

Flames like in the ship is damaged? if your hit points for the ship are very low under about 1500 and lower this can cause the effect you have.. try raising the hitpoints in shiparch.ini.. and see if that fixes it..

Could also be a case of .cmp confusion where the first mesh the .cmp has the same name as the first mesh in another .cmp

i.e. VMeshLibrary
\shipname.lod0.vms

This comes about because two .cmp's have the same first group (not unique) names in milkshape prior to export..

Harrier is correct on the CMP node issue,
you have a match with another ship and that is not good.
as to the flames.
check your hull strength agains your fuse timing and I think you will find that your hull is very high.

Find a hull in freelancer that is about at your setting and note the fuse timing for that ship and I think you will see the problem
