Tractor Beam colors

Ive heard that you can mod your tractor beam to have a different color.
1: Can someone tell me how without using a mod?
2: Can someone make a mod for this?

Griffin Hunter - I don't know, as i haven't looked at the effect to see if its editable in colour - however, for future references.

Your sig is too darned big! Please either remove some of it (make it one or two lines in length), and don't use it more than once in each thread. You will have to UN-check the sig box just above your 'check here to remember password' button box.

p.s - I don't think you can change the colour - hence why no-one has done it?

It is indeed possible:

Simply open misc_equip.ini, and find this:

[Tractor
nickname = ge_s_tractor_01
ids_name = 263744
ids_info = 264744
volume = 0.000000
mass = 10
max_length = 1500
reach_speed = 2000
color = 178.500000, 178.500000, 255.000000
operating_effect = tractor_beam
tractor_complete_snd = tractor_complete
lootable = false

Just alter the highlighted line. They're simple RGB values. The one I created up there was 255, 0, 0.
