Extacting ship info from a mod

Hi,
I was wondering if someone could walk me through extracing the info from a ship from TNG and into a new mod. You see, I really like the Tie Defender and want to add it to a un-modded game of Freelancer. I have been playing TNG SP and it is just to difficult/buggy. Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't play TNG but you wan't to look at :
shiparch.ini
folder where the cmp, mat and any 3db files are and that should be all you need
but if it uses a custom cockpit then you'll have to look at the shiparch.ini for the place.
i'll take a closer look for you
