I just recently started construction of a ship for Freelancer. I've finished modeling it, placing the hard points, and followed the tutorial "Drizzt4.0" as a guideline to construct the mod. However, the only thing I left out was the ID tags for the ship, and the Namesresources.dll. Everything else is fine but when I start Freelancer and go to the place where I placed the ship, I don't see it at all. Instead, I see the ship that was there but without a model. Any ideas of what I could be doing wrong? Could it be that Namesresources.dll is required for Freelancer to place the ship in there?
If you didn't do names for it, you may see the name of the ship you replaced there. Try buying it and launching.
Also, set the ship LOD ranges to 0, 2000. Or if it's for personal use: 0,9999

No, the old skin doesn't appear. It just appears in the buy browser. The model of the ship, you can't see on the pad, but you can still see it to purchase it. Instead, you see absolutely nothing on the pad except for that little hover thing that holds the ship off the ground. That's it. My ship doesn't even show up in the buy browser or is it shown on the ground.
Hi,
Can't really say exactly what 's wrong without seeing files but here's a few pointers:
Try Shipscripter by Crabtree if you havn't already. It will let u sort out your info card stuff easily and lets u set up a ship quickly and easily. You can always modified the produced script to suit yourself afterwards if necessary.
Doubler check all your file paths are correct and files are in right places.
Make sure the texture displays okay on the ship in something like HardCMP by Louva-Deus & Shsan. also checking your ship addons(equipment) are ok with the hardpoints available.
Scan yor files with FLscan by acushot which will pick up most ini file errors once you've activated your mod before starting freelancer.
Doing the above you have a good chance of finding your problem. The progs are all available through Lancers just use search function.
