need some help here...

well i've got this great idea for a ship yet no matter how hard i try i just can't figure out how to use gmax or milkshape.it's too copmlicating so if anyone could post a tutorial on how please do.

note:this might have already been posted but i've gotta rush now.

the 3d-modelling forum has a sticky with drizzt's shipmaking tutorial.
The best you can find for this kind of task.
