Looking for a competent coder.

Yes, it's a first - we are asking for a coder :huh:


Simply put - my time is limited at the moment (job), and it means that large amounts of tedious work on just fixing small coding bugs - all the way up to implementing new ideas/features is not occuring. Accushot works fulltime as well, and has several projects under his belt too.

So effectively, what we are looking for is someone who is "ini competant". Here is the "desirable" requirements.

*track and fix encounters bugs.
*Create new shields, guns, commodities and their infocards.
*edit systems, patrols, encounters and objects.
*Create factions and their npcships/pilots entries.
*Have an good to excellent understanding of the ini files, and how they work.
*A solid and definate knowledge of most facets of modding this game.
*Be able to work under own initiative in fixing bugs highlighted by beta team.
*Be dedicated

The ones in bold are at the forefront. We wish to have someone who is capable of fixing up bugs and maintaining the project moving towards completion (present it is stationary, and has been for a month!). Any coder is more than welcome to add their own spice to the mod (with approval of course ), and is encouraged to do so too. It's also desirable that the person actually knows and loves Evolutions as a mod, this isn't just for someone wanting to practice some coding - but for those who actually enjoy the mod and wish to make it better!

So, if you wish to have a go - then feel free to IM me to let me know on Pathfinderstudios forums. It's an advantage if you already have coding work available to back up your desire to help out. If not, you may add any sections that you "fix" for either 1.28 or 1.30 (whether it be a crash, a simple adjustment or an addition of coolness). Sadly this is not a chance for people who don't know how to code to get involved - as we just can't teach people how to do the coding, and also don't want to risk more bugs being created

We're not expecting many to even attempt to have a go at this, simply because not many want to work on someone elses project - hence why we want only those who enjoy/like Evolutions to start with. Please don't post here, but join our forums (if you aren't a member already) and IM me asap
