Serious Homeworld 2 Mod

I just wanted to let the Freelancer community know that I am in the planning stages for a SERIOUS Homeworld 2 mod. I will personally be doing ship conversions, modelling, weapons editing, ship scripting, and general scripting for the mod. The following is a list of positions that would help greatly in completing this mod in a short period of time:

-System Creators (must know how to make minable asteroid fields and nebulae)
-Researchers (must be able to decompile the LUA files from the original Homeworld 2 to aquire ship stats and such)
-Testers (these people will provide all the necessary beta testing for the mod before it is released)
-Server Hosts (must be able to run a server for a long period of time for testing and eventually 24/7 for full roleplay once the mod goes public)


I want this mod to go from conception to completion in LESS THAN three months. With enough participation this is completely possible and I've even worked on a few mods that have been completed in a comparable amount of time.

No offense. but I am not a fan of people I call "mod leeches", or people who simply wait around for mods to come out and enjoy other people's hard efforts.

If you really want to see a successful mod in as short a time as I do, then please contribute in ANY way you can. This includes simply being the "suggestions guy" or being available to bounce ideas off of. Seriously, you can contribute in more ways than just modding.

Well, I already have ALL the ships from Homeworld 2 in LWO (Lightwave) format and I just need to convert them to CMP for use in game.

Here is what I need other people to help with:
Hardpointing- This is a tedious job and has to be done well so as to match the weapons locations on the ships as they would have been in HW2
System Creation- I need people to make systems, and I mean as many systems as possible. With the set of rules I've made for the game, the more systems we have the more fun this mod will be.
Infocards- I don't need them written, I need them added to the game's DLL files.

Other than that, I'm handling EVERYTHING else. So if you can contribute to any of those three areas then you're hired.

I too have all the HW2 ships (or a good portion there of) in LWO format. IF you need help HP'ing them let me know i will see what i can fit into my schedule.

i too thought of a HW2 conversion, but have no knowledge of the systems in that game. as I only played it once or twice.
