MUMT (Monkey Universe Modding team)
Hello Peeps,
Black Eagle (author of The Monkeys & Monkey Universe mod) and the Monkey Universe serverteam are joining forces.
Black eagle has decided to merge his 2 mods in stead of developping each separately and will continue development under the name "Monkey Universe".
The Monkey Universe mod will be a SP and MP mod with some unique features.
For now it contains new factions like the robots and the monkeys.
Black Eagle is an experienced modder and those of you who have checked out "The Monkeys" and/or the "Monkey Universe" can vouch for this.
To improve the development of the current mod, we are setting up the MUMT (Monkey Universe Modding Team).
Each modder will get a specific task according to his/her skills and will get credit for the work.
The leadership will remain in the hands of Black Eagle.
To assist the MUMT, a dedicated forum section has been created in the Monkey Universe server forum.
On the website, a page will be created with progressreports & screenshots.
A test server is available to do the necessary betatesting and Monkey Universe has a dedicated playerbase which is willing to do the testing.
Planned development of the mod:
Extra systems for the nomads / order / Monkeys / robots with high detailed graphics and effects.
Extra weapons (EMP mines, missile turrets, ...)
Balancing of added ships (Baene shippacks & others)
Making all vanilla Fl ships flyable and giving them new skins
Creation of new designed stations
Extra new sound tracks on top of the new already in the mod
Fine tuning the commodity market ( new comodities exist already)
Creation of specific traderbases with a setup for unique trader RP
Creation of clanbases (dockable by 1 specific clan)
...
The development of the mod will be done in stages to ensure a steady flow of new versions (to keep everyone interested)
