In search of good Mod

I've downloaded an assload of mods for Freelancer to see which one was best.

Nomad's Revenge had way too powerful AI.

Crossfire suffered the same problem, except the AI didn't seem fond to attack

TNG 2.7.6 was too boring and slow, due to the way messed up system of friendships, since there were no bribes, and even after killing dozens of Xenos in dozens of missions, they seem happy to have one white bar down neutral attitude towards me.

Therefore I'd like to know which type of heavily-modified Freelancer mod would suit me. I like my AI to be rough, but not to the point where they maneuver like flies, are invincible to all weapons, and have the dexterity of a fly (already said that), I like exploring cool new systems, preferably that connect with pre-existing ones, and I like new ships that aren't überexpensive and low quality with low armor, cargo space, and weapons capability.

88 Flak is pretty good if you want huge NPC fights(like me). Theres a lot of modding in that one, eve though its not a huge TC and there is vanilla content there.
