Freelancer (duh)

I have postponed from modding freelancer for a while. While I was gone, I was wondering if Freelancer had different versions, like version 1, 2 , 4 , 7 whatever. I can't find my Freelancer CD and I was also wondering if there was a version of Freelancer, other than the trial version, that doesnt require a disc.
If someone can help, thatd be great.

I believe the UBI version does not require a CD
