Fav Freelancer Cut Scene

My two Favs are

First in the beginning when after Trent has spoken to paramedics for first time

He looks Left and the music risie and he sees a defender fly across the liberty landing platforms

Second after they have arrived at trhe hidden leeds jump hole -- its right out of indians jones

Ahh Mr Trent and Ms Zane -- Hand over the artifact and we will spare your lives -- then the two bombers fly in and blow the battleship to oblivion

I think my favorite cut scene is the "end game" hypergate scene.
This signifies the battle has been won and I've survived.

A second favorite is Winston Tobias' (gestured) comment to Trent regarding Ms. Sinclair and Juni: he whispers to Trent, "and what have you been doing? "

Yes I always loved Tobias

another fav is early on when hes been stunned

Trent trent juni goes and then she Back hands him -- Wake Up

Speaking of Indiana Jones, you know that Tobias is voiced by the actor who played Indie's friend -- John Rhys-Davies. He's the same guy who played Gimli (the main dwarf) in the recent film adaptation of Lord of the Rings.

Mine -

Juni- "What?"

Tobias - "I can't remember when I've seen such a vision of lovelyness"

Juni - "Oh brother!" and she walks away.

"Speaking of Indiana Jones"

my apologies i did that twice in that post -- transposed s for a -- I'm slightly dislexic -- it sneaks up on me

I also loved John Rhys Davies in sliders -- first 2 seasons only though

Trivia Question ??
What famous esoteric fantasy spy show from early sixties is he in ??

hint he played Number 2

I really liked him as Leonardo Da Vinci in Voyager.

Gareth, from "Crossroads"

oooop's failed on my own trivia -- the answer was actualy leo mckern who was number 2 in the 1967 prisoner series

-- he looks like him ( and im gettin old ) -- he was also rumpole of the bailey

but John was in a Freelancer predessor -- he played Taggart in the wing commander series -- I had forgotten that

My Bad

My Fav is the fav when he is asked to retrieve the Nomad Artifact from the base

"Sure as long as im not shot at, electricutied, have to dive out windows. or fight of spinly nomad Incubi everything should be fine"

My favs are the cut intro and the endgame.

I might be wrong, but I think Lord Hakkera's voice was done by that guy from the original Star Trek, captain Sulu.

Beware pirates bearing gifts!

Post Wed Jun 27, 2007 11:48 am

It was Sulu played by George Takea

Another Cut Scene I have always enjoyed was the whole Planet Sarum scene -- when they land in hidden underground base and then the exit

its very nice ( scenary ) the way they fly along looking for the base and then land inside

with the bomb dropping and Trent in his ship rising through the entrance
-- " This is gonna be close "

I always wondered why the Modder's werent able to incorporate the underground base into their mods -- probably hard wired into the story line only ??

Mr. Ed, I remember seeing a mod where someone had managed to "unlock" the Pygar Scene (Or whatever that planet was) . The thing was, the mod was followed by a revision of the particular mod that "fixed" some bugs occuring with the original.
I'm sure it's in the downloads section somewhere.

My favourite has got to be the expression in King's voice as he says "But . . . We just . . . The . . ." at the last cinematic. Now that's a real piece of talent. I always feel sorry for the voice actors, when they have to say things like "Your trajectory indicates you are heading for the Omega systems. Be advised . . ." etc, because they would never say that in RL.

Anyway, here's an interesting fact: Did you know there are over 2 hours of cinematics in the storyline for Freelancer? That's 1 in every 6 minutes that's a cinematic. Nice, eh?
