Time for a new post

Wowsa, been long time since I've been here, but for those who haven't met me, I was one of the Freelancer beta testers, and part of this site when we just dreamed of Freelancer, and talked of Starlancer. I was one of the very luck few to be flown to Austin, TX, to go meet the creators of Freelancer. I spent many hours sitting next to Phil and Jorg, in their studio, trash talking and multiplayering months before the game came out. Then, we all went out for a Texas Barbeque.

Ok, I'm only mentioning this because I haven't been here for quite a while, and it seems the forum activity is dead. This is a truly active game, and in this incredible modding community, we can keep the talk going. I just myself reloaded the game after a long time away. I also loaded a few mods I played shortly afterward. This game has life, and so does this site and these forums. I hope there are enough of you out there to respond to this.

Let's get this activitiy moving again. OK,so the game is 4 years old. It's still a great game. Worth discussing.

Let's hear from you all?/????

New folks still show up regularly, which says something for a game this old.

yeah...and don't forget to "vote for Freelancer" .
I love the fact that I can work with this game.
I enjoy having met many people by proxy that I otherwise would have never known.
I first played the game, then began playing MP. Then I learned how to model.
Not too long afterwards, I began leaning how to mod.
It's a wonderfully creative outlet for me and I see this game going on for a long time. I still envision a mod development that will be tantamount to a Freelancer Sequal. This I hope for and pursue with my passion.

Good to see you back Boscoe.
You are absolutely correct imo about keeping the communication going.
The medium "Freelancer" still has much life.
Next wave just around the corner I'm quite sure.

Scream On !

Welcome back.

Got a question for ya, there is a lot of speculation about what DA had planned for FL that was either cut from the design or glossed over by MS to push it out the door. Did they talk about any of that stuff during beta testing or from any of the DA folks who posted on here after FL's release?

I haven't been able to find much on this stuff.
