How to check credits?

Maybe this is a stupid question, but I have searched and searched. How do I find out exactly how many credits I have to spend? Can I, or do I just try to buy something and see if I'm able to?

Well, when you sell/buy anything from any base, then the sell/buy window pops up right? Just on top of your inventory window is the amount of cash you got ( not counting your ship in there eh?) Or you could just open the inventory window by pressing F7 ( or somewhere near there). Have a nice day.

Click on your ship icon. You can check how many credits you've got, what equipment you're using, how much cargo is on board, your bots and bats etc.
