Battleships for Single Player

Is there a mod that lets you drive a battleship /cruiser /gunboat /destroyer in the Single player?

I know that there is a Multiplayer mod (Evolved 2.1) http://evolvedones.com/forum/index.php
(Its the best server ever!)
But is there a Single player mod; that lets you drive the upper listet ships?

And if; please post a link to the mod and post also witch factions battleships that are and where to get them.

Try Chipsopen mod..do a search in download area.

We don't run this place but we hav an understanding with the people who do.

A battleship to me is too big to fly but a blast to blow up, I at one time thought it would be cool to fly a Gunship, but never really tried it. I have tried the battleship and that was not for me to slow and too vulnerable.

Tried a few battleship mods- it turns out that FL is really not designed for the use of such big ships. More often than not, they get jammed in between immobile asteroids (which looks really silly when the ship is something like 50x the size of the largest rock in the field), stuck in docking rings, and every base without a mooring fixture is instantly off-limits. IMHO, gunboats are the upper limit for modded ships if you want the game to remain playable (and even those are too big for a lot of bases).
