I have that exact same problem, it occurred for the first time when I installed Freelaner, but it got fixed later by itself. Now, after a few days of playing it has done it again, doesn't give the serverlist. Something wrong with the global server?

I'm not sure what's going on with the global server.
We received this message from Microsoft operations.
Freelancer Global Servers down as of tonight 8/12 at 7:00pm US Central Time.
What exactly it means I don't know, that's all that was in the email.

If we hear anything it will be posted in the news.
If Microsoft has shut down the global server that does not mean the end to Multiplayer.
We will post all the online Multiplayer servers IP's and how to connect to the server of your choice.
Of coarse the server operators will have to submit their IP numbers so that they can be posted here on Lancers Reactor.
