StarCraft System mod?

So, I was looking around at some other forums and noticed that many people have said they would like to see star craft ships. I thought that maybe some one should take it to the next level. Build a Star Craft System. Including all the planets like Char Sara and Mar(s) Sara, and different races like Zerg, Protoss, Terran. It would be a real neat thing to see that. I can see how you would do the Protoss and terran ships, but the zerg you would have to work on. I am just putting up the idea. All you need to do this really is the either the Starcraft Player's Manual or a strategy guide (and modding skills). I would really like to see something like that. I would be willing to help find planet names and pictures of different ships for reference if some one will go through with this.

You visit multipul systems in Starcraft if we include Brood War.

The system the Terrans are in

I just got an idea for someone to mod.


Starcraft Brood Wars: Total Conversion Mod for Freelancer

Just think, no freelancer story or anything in it. But instead, it would be based in Starcraft. As in you start out in something or other.


Here are some details i thought of:

-Use the little system Chips uses on mods like his SP one, where before you activate the mod if gives you options as to what race and ship and uniform and stuff you want

Exampe

Race: Protoss
Ship: Arbiter
Uniform: Blank Tribe
System: Aiur

- Invent New ships with a starcraft theme

Example

Ship: Armored Dropship
Shiptype: armored frieghter/transport
Description: Improved on the original Dropship designs, it is very expensive however worth the money.

- Put new commodities in the game

Example

You're in that Armored Dropship and you are transporting the following:

4 Marines, 2 Tanks, 100 Liters of Vespane Gas, 10 Tons of Minerals, 4 SCV Suits.

- Replace the entire Sirius Sector with the Kuhprol Sector (or however it was spelt)

Example:

New York is changed around and made Tarsonis System
Omicron Alpha is changed around and made Aiur System

i've been playing Excelcia


and i never said i was going to make it. Id ont know how to mod.


But if someone would make an SC-BW TC for FL then i'd lend a hand any way i can.

It could DEFINETLY be done, the systems would be easy.
DOable ships:
Terran-
Wraith (laser with 2 missile launchers)
Dropship (Freighter)
Science vessel? (possible, im thinking more that they could be bases...)
Valkyre frigate (Bomber, cluster misile launchers)
Battlecruiser (4 laser turrets, one low-refire cannon on the front)

Protoss-
Scout (2 missile launchers, 2 guns)
Carrier (See endnote)
Arbiter (See endnote)
Corsair (see endnote)
Shuttle (freighter)
Observer (Have it like a manned scout, camoflauged/cloaked, short sight range, slow, no weapons)

Zerg:
Scourge (NPC only, who would want a kamikaze ship?)
Mutalisk (Possible, the 'wings' would have to be animated somehow)
Guardian (Long range bomber that can only hit capital ships and structures bacuas of slow projectile)
Devourer (Anti-air ship, heavy hitting seeker attack, short range)
Overlord (Freighter)
Queen (Light unarmed scout)

Footnotes:
Carrier- the carrier attack would be difficult, it MAY be possible to have a 'interceptor attack' weapon mounted that releases modelled missiles at a target, which intead of having a 'self destruct' attack, would have a projectile attack, obviously one interceptor would only be good againt one target, so we'd have to have a LOT of interceptors on one ship.

Arbiter- The attack wouldnt be a problem, its the cloaking field that would pose problems, unless be decided to do away with it...
One possible approach is to make a large spherical attachment to the arbiter that isnt solid, and painted black. therefore, when an enemy goes to target a ship inside the sphere, it would target the arbiter, it might work...

Corsiar- Minor problem with getting the neutron flare firing flash to fire properly. Possible getting 2 guns on either side with an effect that goes halfay to the other prong, both firing at once, thus creaing the zap effect. To get it to hit instantaniouslt is no problem. Just set the projectile speed to 4000 or so...

yes but in the game truth the terran command center is about the same size of a science vessel.
