Hey all...Sorry for the delay, I've been quite busy with real life (yes, there is one) lately.

Kyrik: Thanks for the info on the Gryffin infocard. We know there are little errors floating around in the .dll like that. We fixed many, but it's hard to just go through the entire .dll. The easiest way is to get reports from players (preferably during the beta period!...Stupid us ) and fix them that way. Thanks for the report on that, I'll patch that up immediately. Also, regarding the Enigma...Yeah, I modelled that ship a bit small (especially in the cockpit area) so the pilot doesn't fit. As a temporary solution I can remove the pilot all together. Though I plan on remodelling and texturing it for the next release.

Also, glad to hear that you like the menu music Viator will be happy to hear that. We are planning on releasing a music mod featuring more of Viator's music. It will of course be a separate download, so those who don't want it, don't have to get it, as it will add a bit of size to a download.

Odin: I've edited the URL in your post so that is in hyperlink form so that people can just click on it. Happy to hear you've got a new forum working out for you. Also, I talked to you about this on your server, but happy to hear about the new memory as well The server runs very well Odin. Very nice job with it.

Anthraxx/Odin: Thanks for the kind words about the mod. I too enjoy single player Though, when I can, I like to get around the servers and meet the players, and get their comments on the mod. Regarding storyline...Harrier and I discussed making a version of the mod compatible with single player campaigns. It would take a LOT of work though...If enough people support the idea we could give it a go, what do you guys think? And btw Odin, if we do add the SP Campaign, don't count on mowing those Nomads down They will be flying a certain little ship known as the Nightmare (aptly named ). And Anthraxx, I don't want to give any exact locations...The Ceres is around Kusari though

Hey, I found the Ceres! Sure makes level jumping easier! Now I'm saving up for the Hermes (if I can ever find it LOL). BTW I did find a glitch to report. If you are flying the Ceres and dock at Groom Lake, you get stuck when trying to exit the hanger bay. It's like the a roach motel for the big freighter, you can check in, but you can't check out. The mod still runs very smoothly (except in the new asteroid rich systems, which are a real strain on my poor processor). Again great work and if you guys do ever put in the hours to support the storyline, I'm #1 in line for the download!

Anthraxx, that wasn't too hard now was it Yeah, Groom Lake...We meant to close that system off entirely in this version but forgot to. The whole system is pretty pointless, an old piece of junk that simply got left behind We're planning on doing some new things with it for the next version though...So just wait

Now that Anthraxx mentioned systems, looking forward to 3.12 if Freeport 11 bar be filled up with bribing and stuff.
Also Harrier's originality idea -dockable cap ship project- sounds too tempting.
Any tips when 3.12 be released?

Kyrik, the base populations will be much more refined in the next release version. Freeport 11 is part of a system that is very new, and hence, has holes in the base population. However, like I said, base populations will be reworked later. Harrier's dockable capship is coming along very well. It's called the Praetorian and is nasty . You wont want to get on the bad side of this beast I'll post some pictures later in the Epsilon updates thread so you can see its latest form. The next version should not take as long as this one did, we don't want to keep the players waiting as long as we did last time. Since most of the bugs in the mod have been eliminated this version, next version shouldn't take as long.

Kyrik,

The bar at Freeport 11 is filled with Zoners most of the time. Occasionally Atlanteans. The fact that they do not talk to you has something to do with your reputation with them, apparently they do not see you as a friend. And it is not easy to get friends with hem.
Freeport 11 bar is okay as it is, that's what the Zoners are.

well i am glad to report since i have changed memory and a cpu its been over a week now and no crashes.i let the server go over 30 hours once without a restart so i now know the problems are fixed,and by the way it is way more fun to play now without so many crashes
and a big HATS OFF TO NOVA DESIGN FOR A GREAT MOD

Great job with this mod! The new ships/weapons/bases/systems/factions are great. It all seamlessly works together quite well. Only thing keeping this from being called the unofficial FL2 would be a new engine and single player campaign. Keep up the good work.

Glad to hear the good news about the server Odin. Should you ever run into any problems, just let us know. And of course, thanks for the nice comments as always And a question...How are those Ultimas working out for you? You know what I'm talking about

Germstein, that's probably one of the nicer comments we've gotten Unofficial FL2...I like the sound of that

Anyway, work is coming along nicely on additions for the next version. If you haven't yet, check the screenshots thread below this one to see some of what we've been working on. I think I can safely say you'll be impressed I'll upload some more pictures of Harrier's WIP capship later. You'll like it

Loving this mod. FL has always been one of those games that my friends and I get an itch to play, get/explore everything, then walk away from till that itch creeps up again. So far, that itch hasn't gone away yet, there's so much more to explore and upgrade you're ships with that we'll easily be satsified till when you release the next update.

Here are some things I've noticed, and I hope they help you out a bit:

- Hermes' base docking issue. Anyway to fix this for the large ships? It really is an annoyance, and when you're a freighter, you want all the prices for everywhere to get that perfect money making run. (been mentioned, I know)

- C4 Coldfusion Generator. With this on your ship, you have 0 thruster drain no matter what thruster you use. It doesn't have any thruster limit or rebuild in it's card. (comes with the Silent Runner)

- Drops. Drops, I'd like to see drops increased, and maybe even to the point that some weapons you can only get if it's dropped by a certain faction. I remember freighting through dangerous systems and making a nice chunk of change just off the weapons dropped by the enemies I managed to take out while running for my life.

- Equipment/Weapon Purchases. Some things I can't seem to find anywhere, and if they are in the game somewhere to buy alone, please, let me know (no info, just a confirmation that they are indeed there). I'm talking about things like the custom thrusters (ceres' and cyclone's come to mind). I can't seem to find them anywhere, so I've just resorted to buying 2 of the ship (if only 1 is supplied) or a ship I don't want because it has equipment that I want on it.

- Enigma's Shield. In case you weren't aware, the Enigma comes with an installed H.F. Shield...didn't notice this till I accidently unequipped it and couldn't put it back on. (Heavy Fighter Shield on a Light Fighter)

I've downloaded this mod and the patch and run them on my FLMM.
The problem I've found is that there is no open singleplayer as stated, and the starting ship is a starflier. What's going on?

It has been a while since my last contact. Allow me to mention that You are by far the most progressive team around, working in a solid manner avoiding having bugs and countless updates, inspired by your accurate fans.

A great thanks to all the Epsilon fans around the world for contributing their most
sincere efforts in order to fill the Nova Team with confidence and advanced moding skills, the result of which surely pleases them.

I am glad that Harrier put my thoughts actually on screen and used them to produce continuously advanced ship models. It is only the beginning my dear Harrier. I could provide your creative mind with some really breathtaking thoughts about ship models, forms never ever have been seen anywhere, which are both rational and irrational, material and yet a vision, a glimpse of mans inner self, so beautiful that noone would like to destroy, so deadly, one probably wouldn´t survive to even think about it.

I ain´t sure if here is the right place to publish such top secret issues, since exclusivity and surprise are two of the main driving forces behind established,
innovative teams. After all it is not a coinsidence that Harrier has been chosen for it. Let everyone enjoy them, AFTER YOU create them.

Parabolix, your weapons effects are being developed in the proper direction. Much better color variations. Very good work. Use your inner sight, think like being a drop of water merging into the ocean...Extend your imagination into four, or eight dimensional areas, gravitational-magnetical, M-theory or Advanced String theory outputs, uneven, asymmetrical waves of existing energy motional influence over random material forms, neutron stars...etc. (to be continued if wished, perhaps anothe time).

SP campaign should be integrated in this mod by all means. Only then will it be
complete. Nevertheless it should be neither copy of the original, nor a poor western style simple ego-shooting short story. More battling than merchandising,
neither endless, complicate X3 strategic-like options nor a replay of a sci-fi movie.
More competition, risk, up to level 100, more than two ending possibilities and video sequences.

An Angel advanced level (at about level 50), where the player can trancend over several levels at once if he succeeds facing the rulers of each region ( the universe will be devided in different outer and inner regions, The outer are the lower half, the inner the upper half, level 100 being the ultimate aim, omnipotent, omnicient, becoming the Ruler of all Universe entities.

Bribes shall be installed for all factions, well hidden ofcourse for the deadly ones...
Traps shall be installed (black holes...). As result the SP player falls some levels or looses some benefits or equipment.

The name of the mod shall change. Ofcourse is it already by far better then the original. But that isn´t enough. Possible alternatives will not be mentioned here and now for obvious reasons. There is no bigger compliment then finding yourselves somehow being copied ("influence" by the original programmers for a possible official sequel to FL... So think about adopting a universal, omnipresent,
powerfull name.
