The Rapier sport stays, I've thought about it and she is a good if unusual ship, and since it's our mod............

There will be plenty of ship choices so if you dont like a ship.....then dont fly it.

btw, about the capships, when you go to buy one ...... you may wish you had not..... not only will they be expensive..... but very well protected...

You may have to wait for the final version... as there still is a lot of work to do.

We (the team) asked for help and I can't say we have been inundated with offers....... In fact quite the reverse.

Ya know what?

If you have REAL chaingun bullets or so, you could make it a Fast Refiring Missile Launcher that shoots bullets as ammo.

You'd have to increase the Ammo limit, and maybe make other missiles more expensive, but make chaingun bullets VERY cheap, but make each bullet do not too much damage, but in total it does due to the fast refire rate.

Meaning, it would have a fast depletion level. OR you can even mess around with that and have different types that don't refire that fast...

we know kendo...thats the problem with a chaingun that uses ammo....we were originally planning on doing that....but then people would be carrying around 1000000 sunslayers or cannonballs...

Kendo,

An addition to what parabolix said.

The chaingun is designed to have a very high refire rate similar to a real chain or mingun - somewhere around 6,000 rounds per minute, but use ammo like crazy, so can only be fired using short bursts - that and the heat buildup are the limitations.

This version is very similar to that, but instead of ammo, which as parabolix says, would mean an increase in missile numbers, ours uses energy like crazy, so you cant just blast away and expect to hit summing.... the idea is - using your piloting skills, line up the target, and whoomp... goodbye......

There are also more 'special' weapons on the way, like the Chaingun - 'brand new' models created in doga and milkshape - and then added to the game as a new entry, not a rehash of an existing weapon model with upped damage ratios........

btw this is not a flame ..... I just wanted to add my 2 cents worth - lol

It looks like you've been working very hard. Keep up the good work.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove any doubt.

Thanks a bunch Kaiten, have you checked out our webpage and the gallery yet? If you have please post feedback on the ships there

@Kendo, yeah, no worries, we know you are just trying to be helpful

The Ceres heavy freighter, is complete - (or nearly so) not entirely sure about the scale - any opinions?

Level 6 - 2 forward guns, 4 turrets, mine, countermeasures, 600 cargo very expensive (natch)

She has been added to the gallery - but in case you want to see it now -

Here she is:

will fill in additional details later............

new news

dave and i have joined up with glock36 on the fightspace mod......the epsilon mod will definitely continue, but i wanted to get this news out there...plus it gave me a chance to bump

"i know what you're gonna use that lotion for"

Another Edit: this is the plan at the moment....fightspace has merged with epsilon...this may complicate things a little...we hope we can stabilize things between the two teams....the mod will still include ALL of Epsilon Team's creations...for now we are sticking to this arrangement...note that this arrangement is NOT necessarily permanent...its what we are thinking now...but we are still known as Epsilon Team and are going on our own free will here...a withdrawal from the fightspace team is not completely out of the picture

Neat ... is there a forum or some place I could use to communicate with you?

Post Thu Sep 18, 2003 11:13 am

Bob Mcdob

You can communicate by email, or post in the forum, if there are details to discuss best to do it by email - the link at the top of this message will find me.

or alternatively you can post in the general editing forum - look for a topic called ***tutorial*** - texturing models in milkshape a W.I P. project" under my monika (harrier)...... whoops.... its now in the tutorial forum and has a yellow smiley on the end.... but then again it always had one.... lol.

whooo.......
