wts v 2.4 problems

wow i dont know if it is just the server i use, but a lot of things are going wrong.

1. when you fire a JAGERNAUT you get kicked to windows
2. people get kicked randomly and for no apparent reason(i think only people who are not docked get booted, and you cant log back on)
3. if your character was not docked when you made the upgrade to v 2.4 you cannot log on and if you try you get booted to windows

i dont know what the problem is, but its kindof annoying not being able to fy around, if we decide to go back to v 2.3 how do we uninstall the patch?

A couple of points, it seems that a good few players are seeing ships not as they really are, for instance the maverick appeared to be a Sith Infiltrator to some players. We tested this on another server which someone had set up and the Maverick appeared to be a Borg Cube to all players apart from the server admin.

Also after playing for several hours on one server, suddenly myself and another player simultaneously crashed to desk top, repeated attempts to connect resulted in the same. it was possible to get to the character creation screen and even make a new character, which I could type messages to the admin with, but as soon as I attempted to undock it again would crash to desk top.

hmm try de activating and reactivating the mod, i have noticed that when not activated or installed properly for some reason some people have that ship identity problem, my 2nd in command thoguht my whitestar was a vorlon scorpion and didnt believe me till he asked someone else and they said i was indeed in a whitestar lol

I have no problem with the ver 2.4.
I down loaded it, de,activate the old, shut down the mod manager, then restarted the mod manager and reactivated ver 2.4.

ya i did that too, but for some reason it didnt activate all the way i guess(i dont no squat about computers) so i deactivated and reactivated it and it worked

Right, first of all i still can't believe there are problems with this mod as how old is it now? But then i don't think anyone at CCN actually listens to anybody so here's a fix or two for version 2.4!!

Some of you have probabaly noticed that NONE of the newly made system names or info showed up in 2.3 or the patched 2.4. This is because some fool forgot to include the freelancer.ini file in the exe folder of the mod!

This is how to fix it,

1. Deactivate your mod in FLMM and restore backups.
2. Copy the frelancer.ini file from the standard freelancer EXE folder into the EXE folder of WTS 2.4 mod (this sits in the mods directory of FLMM)
3. Open this up and scroll down till you see this:

[Resources
DLL = InfoCards.dll ; Contains all infocard text resources
DLL = MiscText.dll ; Contains other bulk text resource: rumor, offer, and mission text
DLL = NameResources.dll ; Contains names of things, primarily.
DLL = EquipResources.dll ;Contains names of equipment (in string table) and infocards for equipment (in HTML resources)
DLL = OfferBribeResources.dll ; Contains random mission offers and bribes
DLL = MiscTextInfo2.dll ;Contains MP UI elements as well as other misc. text
DLL = wtsworld.dll ; Crabtree <-------------ADD THIS LINE

and save!!!!!

4. Activate mod and all your new system names will be there again

The missing textures to Saturn, still don't know why they're missing so download my mod from lancersreactor called Solar System MOD v1.0 by Gibbon and get them from there!

Lastly, from one extreme to the other, i'm of course talking about player looting. Works a treat normally but overkill letting the npc's drop everything. CCN solution? Take it out completely, no don't fix it whatever you do. You want the solution, then ask me and i'll tell you how to fix it.... Jeez

Server Crash Bug


Battle Fleet Encounters if your get into major dog fight with these encounters either the client take it or its graphics card problem which i know its not my graphics card..

Maybe Tone down the Enconters maybe like 1 Dread 1 Cruiser and 2 escorts..

Also Little Ideal is to have Admin Ships eheh.. but sofar its getting there..

Still having problems with this....

Installed every possible update from Windows that is available, updated all drivers to latest available, virus scanned, error checked, directX - tested, activated mod, deactivated mod, SDK-ed, fresh installed, had lunch, tried all again in other orders and reversed steps, had dinner, tried latest downloads, installed them etc etc...........

STILL SEEING POLICE IN MANCER CARGO-1 and Bounty Hunters in Vorlon Dreadnaughts.........What have you changed from Version 2.3 to 2.4 that causes this ?????????? Any help from the CCN-TEAM would be, well appreciated.

A post with what we are doing wrong can be helpful, either here, your own forums, or your webpage....................Thanks in advance.

Also many people getting booted off the server when in Borg space. . Its now become impossible to play on this mod. This needs a serious overhaul, the new patch is totally useless, half the players either cant get on the server or see all the ships incorrectly.

I was booted form SPAWN's server -
ive tried some others also -
not in borg space -
it seem it just plays heads or heals for users on other server
on my server - no clients were booted off by server -
- only a cargo bug for this time -

JUGGERNAUT - or Capital letter guns bug
can't logoff from bases or repair -
--- i wipe there cargo and i'ts okay ---

ok form my experience people were just being careless when installing the mod, a lot of people forgot to deactivate v 2.3 first and messed up some other things,i no someone who crashed all the time and(i no this is a bit of a task) then he uninstalled the mod, reinstalled XP and now it works like a charm, i no most people are not willing to do this, but it has to be partly an error on our part if it works fine for some, and everyone else has problems, but no one has the sxact same problems
