hi Jasper,

plz check the forums for editing utilities and how to edit or creating ships. Check these links Debbuging FL and Tutorials that would give you all answers.

Some you should know, most design their ships in milkshape and export them then to FL cmp format, but you should definatly read the forum entrys.

I have a problem with the shipscripter. I make the ship, and it seems error free, but then, when i open freelancer, get into multiplayer, and launch my ship, the game crashes.

Hi,

i think, the ShipScripter is correct. Is it possible that you use your ship on Server, where the Mod isn't installt? Try to start a LAN Server and test your ship there. If your game crashed again, then the ShipScripter makes trouble *lol*

I know this topic is quite old and i dont expect any answer soon but you really should update the shipscripter with a better explained basic tutorial because you say "and put your stuff in it" thats like a recipe saying "put your stuff in a bowl" youd be like WTF wot stuff does it mean?

Hi there, this problem REALLY has me stumped. For some reason when i go to save it after generating the script in the infocard ection it saves it as a .mat file instead of as a .xml file. I have tried it several times, i've even tried re-installing shipscripter,. but all to no avail, the same thing happens every time. Any ideas?

Edit: It turns out that a friend of mine is having the same problem on his computer.

Thats because the last file you opened with the dialog box in scripter was the ship mat file, just type in a different name and file extension, i.e.

mymod.xml
