Mp RPGing has some probs

you might know me from frost works maybe not but i wanted to say that f you start an MP acout you are hostile with some factions and that means you need to fight wave after wave after wave of BH's to get them freindly

aye, i heard about this. If people don't think it will make things too easy (like going anywhere you like and looting stuff) then i will sort this out for MP without a hitch, but I am not too positive. I might do it for some factions, but certainly not all (like if its popular, make corsair, outcast, rogues, lib police & navy, bounty hunters and corsairs neutral. However, as a countermeasure to NOT allow you to go elsewhere, make all other factions (not shipping though) hostile (by only a small amount) so that you will get attacked if you try to wander off somewhere to explore/trade with no hassles (imagine starting game and being able to go without fear to loot wrecks - some pirates WOULD just attack for no reason

Of course - if you meant in general, then i can sort the mpnewcharacter.fl file out in a few seconds to allow server admins to give new players a real roleplay chance!

I have a problem, a little bit off topic, but here goes. I have set up a LAN server for some very young kids here at home, server + 4 clients. These kids are a little too young to go online, but love to play Evolutions.

Now, when they start out there is no activity outside Manhattan, no ships, no radio chatter, and they are 100% neutral to all factions. I haven't done anything apart from installing game and mod. After doing a couple of missions the Rouges become hostile, but when logging off/on they are back to neutral. This is ok when mining silver, but they have a problem buying stuff.

So, is there anyone who know what's wrong here. I have re-installed everything.
All computers are running WinXP Pro, with latest drivers. And if we log on an online server all is fine.

Specs:
CPU: P4 3Ghz
Ram: 1024 Mb DDR
GFX: Radeon 9800 Pro
HDD: 4x80 Gb Raid 1+0
WinXP Pro with latest drivers

Erm, fraid i have no idea, something is corrupting save game files by the sounds of it............and possibly a bad install. If you downloaded from TLR its probabily a bad download (its a corrupted file) so try downloading from my site

It actually sounds like your character files on your server are corrupted, and not the mod. If the only effect of this is the reps all reset to neutral when logging on YOUR server, and not when you log on someone elses server than that is what it is.

A simple character wipe should solve this I'm thinking.

Tried that. Tried everything I can think of in fact. Un-installed, re-installed both game and mod. And it has nothing to do with the mod, same thing happends when we try the original game without any mod. I wonder if the router/firewall can screw up files.

Anyways, the kids are having the time of their life killing Rouges with their Soulstealers. Great fun just to watch them as they lvl up a bit. They send a great thanks to Chips and Kirghiz for this great mod.

I have very little to do with the mod being what it is. Chips does all the real work.

Did you physically go under FLServer and delete the accounts that are registered on the server? When you reinstall, it doesn't affect the character accounts or the save games usually, so after a reinstall, if that was the problem it won't be fixed.

Fire up your server, than click Edit/Accounts, than delete everything that shows up in that screen. Hopefully, the problem will be fixed after that.

It seems Term0shad has been having problems with locked jumpgates. He thinks he has found out that something is corrupting save game files or something, cause the settings are all correct, and i get no trouble. Am wondering if its something to do with Ioncross, and perhaps he forgot to check a box for opening the gates or something (not sure).
