Rebalance version 3.40 beta is out!

This new beta test version of Rebalance is up on the folowing url: http://www.rebalance.cybersprocket.com/ ... .zip.flmod. The site will be up in a day or two as a site dedicated exclusively to Rebalance and mainained by me. It'll have it's own Forum.
The mod uploaded is a beta version destined to be tested mainly in MP by all interested. But it has all the ships and systems loaded. here's the feature list for the mod:
v3.40:
-includes patches from RB 3.30 final + Dagger Xr patch.
-fixed the Jupiter Obs. station giving missions inside Planet Jupiter.
-added Augur's ship pack made specifically for Rebalance, it contains 10 awesome ships as folows:
-Gaijin MkI - HF, armor 7500, cargo 80, weapns 6/2/2
-Gaijin MkII - VHF, armor 13500, cargo 125, weapns 8/4/2
-Halycon MkI - LF , armor 2500, cargo 40, weapns 4/2/2
-Halycon MkIa - HF, armor 4800, cargo 75, weapns 6/2/2
-Halycon MkII - VHF, armor 10100, cargo 150, weapns 6/4/2
-Ryuoken - HF, armor 5700, cargo 65, weapns 5/2/2
-Seraphim - FRT, armor 8500, cargo 750, weapons 4/7
-Mauler - VHF, armor 13200, 8/2/2, weapons 8/2/2
-Hawkeye MkII - VHF, armor 10500, cargo 1200, weapns 6/3/4
-Hydra: FRT/VHF, armor 11800, cargo 1500, weapons 6/6/2
-these are spreaded in Bretonia, Kusari and Rheinland.
-added my own ship pack of SW ships consisting of the next ships:
-TIE Avenger, HF, weapons 4/4/2, cargo 75
-R-41 Starchaser, LF, weapons 4/2/2, cargo 90.
-Preybird Fighter, LF, weapons 4/2/4, cargo 80.
-TIE Phantom, VHF, weapons 5/3/2, cargo 90.
-Cloakshape Fighter, HF, weapons 6/2/2, cargo 120.
-Planetary Fighter, HF, weapons 6/3/2, cargo 110.
-IRD Fighter, HF, weapons 5/2/2, cargo 90.
-T42 Congreve, VHF, weapons 6/3/2, cargo 150.
-Re-modeled and re-textured XWing, HF, weapons 4/2/2
-Muurian Transport, freighter/fighter, weapons 5/5/2, cargo 500.
-Container Transport, freighter, weapons 3/12/1, cargo 6000.
-Corellian Gunship, starship(corvette), weapons 4/10/2, cargo 1000. -Missile Boat, VHF, weapons 6/4/4, cargo 120.
the models in my SW pack are from the Darksabers Ultimate Craft Pack(DSUCP), so credits go for Tony "Darksaber" Denton for makig them. I converted and configured them fro use with Freelancer.
-use the ModSettings.bat file to set up choices of the mod, like OpenSP mode, disabling cutscenes, levels of diffculty, levels of encounters in the EFA system and more. Syntax: Modsettings.bat X:, where X: is the letter of the drive where FL is installed. You can still use the separate .bat files.
-new systems added, made by Augur:
Iowa
Illinois
New Jersey
Carolina
System modifies to fit the new ones:
New York - Jumpgate to Iowa added
Edinburg - Jumpgate to Illinois added, trade lanes (Jumpgate->Shetland,
Shetland->Aberdeen, Aberdeen->Perth)
Tau 37 - Jumpgate to NewJersey added (next to Freeport 10)
Kyushu - Jumphole to New Jersey added
Cortez - Jumphole to Illinois added
Omicron - Alpha Jumphole to Columbia added
Omicron Gamma - Jumphole to Columbia added
New Tokyo - Jumphole to Columbia added
New Berlin - Jumphole to Columbia added
New London - Jumphole to Columbia added
-fixed the loadouts of high level BH and Corsair/Hessians/Outcasts. Added combined missiles to them, like class 1 and 3 or class 2 and 3, of different levels.
-increased the power of the faction guns by 16 to 20%.
-recommend to the server admins to use the low density seting both for EFA and for the Edge worlds. this will prevent the server of crashing too often when players got to these systems.

Oh, and also reactivates the Alaska system ,opens the gate in SP, OpenSP and Mp, and makes the Juneau Shipyard a real military complex with 3 shipyards, 2 Research Stations and 2 Weapon Depots. And makes Prison Station Mitchell active with equipment ships and missions too...

Hi, what is the final file size of this Beta 3.40, I have gone to the site 3 times and the size is different every time? Thanks :-)

EDIT: Ah, i found another link in the Rebalance 3.30 Discussion Forum, DLed v3.40 beta, and tried to install it.
I double clicked it from my Web Downloads folder, expecting it to unzip into FLMM like all other files. But I get this message with "FLModManager" at top:
"The central directory was not found in the archive (or you were trying to open not the last disk of a multi-disk archive)"
What does this mean, and how can I play v3.40?

Hmm, as Predator said before, the size of the file DOES change each time I visit: the 1st time i DLed it, said 7.1 MB (didn't install correctly, so went back); 2nd time said 7.5 MB, 3= 10.3 MB, 4= 11.something.
Each time I go back after DLing the file, it says the file is about .5 to 1 MB larger than the one I jsut DLed.
What is going on? thanks a lot

the problem is 99% because MD is uploading it right now
checked, when first went to that page, the file size was~2Mb, now its 17.3. I think wait until its some stable ~50Mb as now there are more ships in it

edit:/me slow. now the file size is 18.6Mb

well, it changed from 20.9Mb to 26.1 since my last check, so most likely yes. Get a slower net connection, and this wont bother u. You download it slower than MD uploads it

Alright, that makes sense. Right now I think it's at 26.3, so maybe only another hour, do you think?

yest i uploaded it last night and it took 3 or 4 hours to complete(don't know exactly, i was sleeping ). The final file size is: 55,063,736 Kb.
you can also check the site: www.rebalancemod.com, which will be the mod's url from now on, the beta 2 version of the mod is already in there, in the downloads section. It has almost all except the fixed Iowa systems from Augur. Aditions till first beta...fixed TIE Defender with the corect textures, added the Raider from augur, a new ship for the pirates, Alaska gate now opens on both sides, some small errors in the ships configurations and packages were also fixed. The mod is mostly stable in MP if you use low density configuration on EFA, and Omicron systems. i think it may be stable at medium but did not tested it yet. Be aware that it's a BETA version and the final one will be slightly different for sure.

Well, I got the whole version beta lsat night, and woohoo! is it fun!
Sometimes before, I would see a weapon for sale at a base or somewhere else and think, "What in hte world is that? I've not seen any ships using that before..." but now I see so many new weapons (like hte BH Brave, for example). the tweaked weapons and new systems are fantastic, making the gameplay nore challenging and fun.
Great job, guys; if this is just the beta, I can't wait to see the final one.
Sorry for the ungratefulness, I'm content w/the beta right now; good job again.

ro9ue, this version is called beta cause stability in MP is to be tested and fixed. It works quite fine in SP and OpenSp as the last verion of RB did. it is "final" regarding these 2 modes.... btw,i set up a little forum thread at www.rebalancemod.com, for everyone willing to post something there....

hello you all,

i have a litle probleme with the Mod in Singelplayer. When i start at leeds after helping Quintain to escape the game crshes to windows.
I don't know why that happens but it's realy anoying.
I woud be happy if someone coud help me there.
